A CODE OF ETHICS POLICY
HEAD OF THE INSTITUTION:
  • Lead the institution with transparency, accountability and ethical decision-making in all matters.
  • Ensure open communication and involve faculty, staff and students in the decision-making process when appropriate.
  • Ensure that all academic activities, including admissions, examinations, assessments and evaluations are conducted with the highest standards of fairness, transparency and integrity.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in the quality of education, research and infrastructure.
  • Encourage faculty, staff and students to pursue excellence in their respective fields.
  • Promote a culture of respect, equity and inclusion for all students, faculty and staff regardless of gender, religion, socio-economic background or nationality.
  • Ensure that students receive adequate guidance, mentorship and opportunities for academic, professional and personal development.
  • Foster collaboration with other educational institutions, industries, research organizations and government bodies to enhance the academic and research capabilities of the college.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development to stay current with trends in education, leadership and technology.
  • Encourage faculty and staff to participate in professional development opportunities that enhance their skills and knowledge.
FACULTY:
  • Ensure that all academic work, including teaching, research and assessments, is conducted honestly and transparently.
  • Promote and model academic honesty, discourage cheating and other forms of dishonesty and take necessary actions to address violations.
  • Ensure that all assessments, assignments, and examinations are designed and graded fairly, reflecting the knowledge and effort of students.
  • Strive to deliver high-quality education by using innovative teaching methods, staying current with advances in the field and adapting to the needs of students.
  • Engage in research that advances knowledge and promotes technological, scientific, or engineering advancements.
  • Continuously improve teaching methods and course content, while encouraging students to engage in critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving.
  • Treat all students with respect, dignity, and fairness, regardless of their background, beliefs or abilities.
  • Provide clear, constructive, and timely feedback on student work and encourage their academic, personal and professional growth.
  • Share knowledge, resources, and expertise to promote collective success and academic growth within the institution.
STUDENTS:
  • Ensure that all my academic work, including assignments, projects, examinations and research are completed honestly and independently.
  • Adhere to all the policies, rules, and regulations set by the college, including those concerning attendance, discipline, dress code, and use of technology.
  • Use the college’s resources, including facilities, materials, and equipment, responsibly and for their intended purposes.
  • Treat all faculty members, staff and administrators with respect, using courteous language and constructive behaviour in all interactions.
  • Attend classes and other academic events punctually and be prepared.
  • Respect deadlines, schedules and policies set by the institution.
  • Strive for continuous academic and personal growth, constantly improving my knowledge, skills and character.
  • Engage in activities that contribute to the well-being of society, such as volunteering, participating in social initiatives and working towards the common good.
  • Actively participate in extracurricular activities, clubs and student organizations, contributing to the development of a vibrant and diverse college community.
